New York- Day 2

Spent the day in Central Park. Went to Belvedere Castle. Ate a Grey's Papaya...YUM!

Went in this BEAUTIFUL cathedral...

Spent the afternoon in the city...an UNBELIEVABLE experience...posted some of the highlights.
Took the kids to M&M world...spent $27 on M&M's...are you kidding me???
It was worth it cause they LOVED it!

We also saw Empire State building, Chrysler building, David Letterman Show, Trump tower, CBS building, ESPN store, Madison Square Garden, Rockafeller Center, Hershey Store, went though the Lincoln tunnel, and Holland tunnel...I am sure I am forgetting something...but I am tired and we board the ferry for Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty at 8 am.
This beautiful sky is how we ended today...

New York- Day 1

We drove straight to Brooklyn for church service at the Brooklyn Tabernacle...it is like a church service on steroids...an unbelievable experience. I sat next to a woman from Africa and getting to hear her sing was so cool. JB got to go on stage and be honored for being a graduate. There were graduates from Ghanda, Canada, Spain, Florida, Mexico, and from all over the New York/Jersey area. I would love to be able to post pics...but they do not allow pics. The inside of the church was beautiful. After chuch we went downstairs and ate there...had the homemade vegetable lasagna...yum!

We ended our day by eating at the Tick Tock Diner...it has been around since the 1940's...way neat!

My best friend's husband grew up in Jersey...this is the home he grew up in...such a quaint neighborhood!

This big rock is in the yard of his old house...the kids thought it was cool!

Amish Country- Day 2

Went to an Amish farm today.
We got to see what life was like on an Amish farm and learn lots of interesting facts.

Then we spent a little bit of time in the touristy part.
I know that the Amish do not like their pics taken...but I was able to snap a few from inside the van.
Went to the train museum just to see the big trains.
My fav part of the day was when we just drove the country side...we got lost on purpose :) It was BREATH taking. Stopped at an amish farm and bought fresh blueberries from them. The amish children are precious! They actually run the stand. The blueberries were yummy! Also bought some blueberry jam...looking forward to eating that!

She has a baby in her lap and he had a toddler in his!
The covered bridges were AMAZING...so glad we drove to see them.

Loved this building/door!

Headed to the church service at the Brooklyn Tabernacle tommorrow morning...New York here we come!
