Brick by Brick

Brick by brick is my new motto.

I was reading about Nehemiah rebuilding the wall. God gave him a specific task...to build the wall.

Not examine the bricks...Not throw out the ones that didn't quite fit...Not decide which bricks would be better left for tomorrow...Not think about which ones might crack under pressure...Not go back and rebuild already built sections of the wall...

But just build it brick by brick.

The Bible study I am reading goes on to say "Our calling and our purpose have been made plain: Our love should abound more and more to the praise and glory of His name. Keep rebuilding your section until the job is done."

I spend too much of my time worrying about this, that, or the other and because of it, I miss out! I don't want to miss out.

My nine year old can be a challenge, but you know what...she has the best giggle in the world!

My eight year old is ALWAYS smiling.

My seven year old is the cutest little joy!

My three year old asked me tonight if I was her best friend and I said well of course.

And last, but not least my sixteen year old is one MESS after another, but gives the best hugs in the world.

My husband LOVES me like crazy and would move the world to make me happy...he was still riggin up my tomato plants after dark last night...after working all day.

So why in the world would I spend SO much time fussin over the bricks, when God just called me to build...He has got the rest!!!!

Some more pretty around the yard!

Lets go fly a kite...

Nothing better than flying a kite on a windy day with kids!

My Handsome Son

My son got his letter jacket...we are very proud of him. I can't believe he is ALMOST a senior. His name means "gift from God" and that is exactly what he is!

In my Yard...

Time to clip back the roses, so I did that this evening and have many battle wounds to show for it! I thought this rose was a Beautiful reminder
of how AWESOME our Maker is!
Can you believe someone put this cute wheelbarrel at the road for the trash man? Well one man's trash is this woman's treasure! I like to put seasonal color in it, so I got some petunias this weekend and planted them.

Salty Wreath

My momma made this for my house...I just LOVE it!
She collected old salt shakers and then wrote one of my
favorite verses and put it on this wreath for me!
One of my favorite things!

Hobbitt Inspiration

I did some sprucing up on my porch...my good friend Cole gave me
some Hobbitt inspiration...
so it got me a movin...
