From the first time that we took a car ride with JB when he was like 10...

this is what he always does is the car...

something about the car makes him fall asleep even if we are not going far.

Rollercoaster

No one tells you that being a mom is like being on an ever moving emotional roller coaster!

JB is my oldest and in just a few short months will be going off to college...I really can't imagine not being able to see him every day. Now, a senior year does kinda get parents ready because they are gone SO much with sports and friends and church. But, just like this morning he is not up with us because he is exhausted BUT I can go in there and kiss his forehead if I want and I can steal a hug when he gets up. I can't do that in about 6 months...he will be 2 1/2 hours from me and will not be coming home much because he will be playing football.

Then there is my baby Bea...something happened over night...the cute chubby cheeks and thighs are gone and replaced with long legs that I can't seem to find pants long enough to cover. She talks and acts just like her sisters. She is now able to do so many things independently. She can even do chores now and wants to have a chore just like her siblings.

I am just not sure what to think or how to feel. I see my kids loving God and making good choices and caring about things and people around them...I just can't imagine life without them and I know that before I can blink it will be Bea going off to school.

I guess I am just gonna love them and teach them and show them God as much as I can. I am so thankful everyday that I get to be their mom...that God chose me to parent these precious children...I just wish sometimes that I had longer!

My Husband

Isn't he handsome?

My husband always teases me that I write about everyone but him and I never put pics of him on here...

Jason and I have been together for a long time...we have gone through a lot of things together!

Jason asked the Lord into his heart on my parents front porch...we had our first kiss on that front porch and he proposed to me there!

We have laughed together and cried together and been scared together and worried together.

We decided seven years ago to be parents to a little boy who had just lost his mom and had no home...I was the first to fall in love with our son...Jason and I were young and a lot of men would not want to raise a ten year old when they are twenty four and newly married...but Jason wanted to and he became the first father JB ever had.

Since then Jason has become daddy to four other children and he is the best dad in the world...he is so loving. He is Gracie's hero! Davis thinks he hung the moon and Jazz and Jocey can't let their daddy leave in the morning without telling him bye. When he is gone in the evening he always comes in and kisses each of the kids. He is JB's biggest fan!

He surprised me the other day with 36 long stem roses that he arranged himself. There are so many things that I love about him and many days we are just so busy being parents that I forget to tell him.

So I decided that I will list the top ten things that I love about him:

1. His gentleness
2. His stubby warm hands
3. He always smells good (well except for his gas :) )
4. He loves me fiercely
5. His smile and GREAT blue eyes
6. His hug that makes all things bad go away
7. Him in his "work around the yard" clothes
8. Best dad ever
9. Never holds grudges...very forgiving
10. His laugh...especially when he laughs so hard he cries

That's my Jay...the man God chose just for me...he knew that he would be just right in so many ways that I had never even thought about...thank you God!
